Venerable Jotesovannao Yuwath So was born on Monday January 1, 1969 in Cambodia, at Das Skor Village, Boeung Sala Commune, Kompong Trach District, Kampot Province, to father Thom Yuy and mother Oun Saren. His mother past away but his father currently resides in Cambodia.
Venerable Yuwath So was ordained as a novice Buddhist monk in 1988 at Wat Preah Koe, Boeung Sala Commune, Kompong Trach District, Kampot Province.
He studied Buddhism at Wat Preah Koe and after having completed his studies in Buddhism's history, philosophies, and doctrines, he was ordained as an official monk in 1990 at Wat Domnakomtuat, in Domnakomtuat Commune, Kompong

Trach District, Kampot Province. In 1992 he studied Pali in at Battambong Province. In 2000 he completed his studies in Pali and received his diploma and practiced Buddhism in Moung Reu Seay. Shortly after, he was elected to be head monk of the Moung Ruesey District until 2004. Among his accomplishments in Cambodia is the finding of the Bodhichaya Association in Cambodia to help the old, the poor, the orphans and those in poverty On October 22, 2004 he received his Visa to come to the States to further spread Buddhism.
Currently he resides in Wat Dhamagosnaram Buddhist where he continues his work, providing religious and spiritual services to the Cambodian community in Rhode Island.
